New Zealand Petroleum & Minerals, the government’s minerals permitting agency, has released a new Minerals Data Pack that combines a large selection of open-file geophysical, geochemical and geological datasets, minerals reports and prospectivity studies.
It also includes a comprehensive spatial data set; spatial measurements linked to GNS Science’s Geological Map of the country; expanded geochemical data sets; and an updated mineral occurrence database tailored for our minerals industry.
“Following a similar template to the Petroleum Exploration Data Pack, the data pack will progressively be added to, featuring the best and most recent releases of minerals exploration data,” says NZP&M manager Commercial Analysis and Investment David Darby.
“It will also be the primary portal for government funded data and geosciences, such as the Regional Aeromag Survey Project and selected prospectivity studies.
“The Minerals Exploration Data Pack is an essential tool that will help investors quickly and easily recognise mineral opportunities in New Zealand.”
